Dakota Home Open Curling League
On rare occasions we are present when something occurs that we are certain, right away, will make history. You are fortunate to witness the formation of a new league at the Grand Forks Curling Club. The Dakota Home Open League will play Thursdays at 4:15 pm. The GFCC has had splendid success with our Tuesday Afternoon league and our Wednesday 4pm league is also exceeding all expectations. These current leagues are in high demand and people hoping to join them have been met with disappointment as both are at or over capacity.
For anyone interested in participating in the “Dakota Home” Open League next fall we have a great opportunity to get on the ice yet this season in preparation. To ensure we can hit the ground running next fall, teams that wish to be considered will need to arrange with us to come to the rink Thursdays at 4:15 in February and March to play in practice games and
even engage in learning how to curl during the remainder of the current season.
This opportunity is open to all. Current club members are welcome but we will have a focus on “new to curling” teams and people meeting this criteria will be handled preferentially.
